SUNDAY RUN CLUB - MARATHON PREP
BENEFITS OF OUTDOOR TRAINING
We are so excited to be having our first Sunday Run Club session starting this weekend (27th March) kicking off at 10:30am at Bishopsgate Entrance of Liverpool Street and making our way to Hyde Park. This session will be run by our very own coach Erica, who is no newbie to endurance running and has done a number of running events in her life! This session will be run every second Sunday.
Erica will be leading the way, whilst giving you the space to speed up/slow down where it feels good, and also will be catering to new runners and seasoned runners!
We know a number of our community are running their first half marathons/marathons this year, so this Run Club will be the perfect place to train as a team outside and get coaching tips along the way as well as keeping a good pace.
By training outside, and as a team, you get the physical endorphin rush you normally do when you exercise - and also the added extra of Vitamin D and fresh air to stimulate the muscles. Running with natural inclines as well is great to train your body to work harder at times when going up or down a hill, and to make sure you give your muscles the chance to feel what different conditions feel like.
Training as a team is incredible for your morale, and can give a huge boost to your performance if you feel like you need the extra motivation or support through a more difficult session. It's also just a great way to catch up and chat (funnily enough great for your aerobic endurance!).
